The Challenge

Revolutionizing Dubai Municipality's permit services through a unified digital platform for seamless user experience
Permit-related services within Dubai Municipality were previously scattered across multiple platforms, leading to a fragmented and inconsistent user experience. The lack of integration with other government entities and the absence of a fully digital interface resulted in inefficiencies and customer dissatisfaction.
The Unified Permit System (UPS) was developed to consolidate five key services across the Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Public Health departments into a single digital platform. This system was designed to streamline processes, enable cross-government integration, and deliver a cohesive user experience.

Achievements

  • Successfully launched in early 2025 to serve the business community, including entrepreneurs and investors.
  • Enhanced the customer experience by offering a unified and fully digital interface.
  • Processed over 6,000 permit requests within the first few months of launch.
