The challenge

A regulatory authority oversees the classification and registration of all consumer products entering a major urban market. The registration system covers cosmetics, health supplements, detergents, biocides, and food-contact materials — each requiring document verification, safety assessment, and compliance certification before market entry is granted. The existing process relied on manual review and paper-based submissions, creating bottlenecks for importers and limiting the authority's capacity to scale enforcement.

Our mandate

We were engaged to design and deliver the end-to-end digital registration platform — covering product classification, document intake, compliance assessment, and certificate issuance. The work spanned importer onboarding, automated classification logic, review workflows, and consumer-facing product verification. The goal was to establish a governed digital system that accelerates market access for compliant products while strengthening regulatory oversight at scale.
